    Day 374, Outskirts, NNE Sector 32

    Heavy support is rolling out.

    The snow came back last night, not heavy, refreshing the coldness of the woodland. The wind does the rest to make you feel more uncomfortable.

    Day 373, Outskirts, NNE Sector 32

    Another day, another patrol. Business as usual. The only highlight is smoking lhosticks without them commissars seeing it.

    Day 372, Outskirts, NNE Sector 32

    Combat patrol around the artillery compounds. The snow is melting but that’s only temporary. The ponds are filling with water. Don’t want to know what makes it so colourful.
    Took a quick shot of my two fellows.

    Day 365, Outskirts, NNE Sector 32

    Imagine you need some space. Away from the constant booming of the artillery. To get some rest in your brain. To be able to think straight once in a while. Imagine you take a stroll. As you did before. Secretly. No Commissar will notice, nor will your NCO. Visiting that nice place in the remote plant. The one destroyed in the former campaign. But this time when you step over the torn down fences something is already there. Xenos.Would you tell anybody?

    We know the target is down there, behind the tree line. Still we can’t see anything. Even the coordinates transmitted by the forward observers are inaccurate. Come on, 22n34uu34 … how does that do? How big is that thing?

    +++MSG+Air Recon D3+Scout Transport>>ENGAGING<<EOM+++

    „Do you still think the coordinates our FO gave us was crap?“
    „No.“
    „But you said it was crap.“
    „Hey, shut up. There’s no way you ain’t gonna unload these wagons.“

    Dear my love,
    tonight, in my dream, I was not in the city. I was outside, where the constant booming of artillery was throbbing beneath the earth. And there was a buzzing. The air was filled with noise. And the smell seemed to absorb the light. Everything around me was blurred. The rotting leaves seemed to lean towards me.
    When I woke up it was like someone was watching me. May the Emperor protect us all.
