WHFB – Vampires

Hartmann von Salsa - corrupted Vampire Lord

When Warhammer was called Warhammer and referred to the Warhammer Fantasy Battles tabletop game where armies of fantastic and fantasy miniatures were fighting in regiments, lead by heroes and supported by war machines and monsters.

That’s when I used to play this game with various armies. One of them was a Vampires appendix army. A knightly order, corrupted by death, made itself a home in the Border Princes and perverted their former ideals.

I always imagined them to fight at night and in snowy landscapes. What’s more horrifying than an undead horde advancing? An undead horde advancing at night, in winter! When the living dare not fight and won’t be able to gather the levies.

I’ve never crafted the snowy tabletop. The terrain tiles I have now vary from dried early spring to Wealdy overgrown features. That’s no fit for snowy bases. As of today only the cavalry bases are remnants of my aspiration. Eventually I’ll adapt those bases to today’s terrain as well.
